It's that time of the year again that the Myrtle Beach area is getting ready to hear the rumble of the Harley's as biker enthusiasts from all over pour into the Grand Strand the week of May 11- 20, 2012. Every year in May, Myrtle Beach host a biker week filled with different events, activities, dining and various motorcycle vendors that populate the area and offer bikers an enjoyable time at the beach. The attendance for the event the past couple of years has not been as strong as it was in 2004 and 2005, but there was still many bikers present on the streets.

If you and your family are looking to vacation in the area during that time and you like bikes (and maybe you have one too) this would be an enjoyable time to visit as the variety of motorcycles that cruise the beach is an interesting sight to watch. If you don't like bike's or the sound that they produce, choosing a different time to vacation may be a better idea. If it's not possible to come at a different time, then vacationing either further north or further south may be the way to go, as most of the biker population gravitates to the Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach areas the most. Look into areas such as Little River, Cherry Grove, Surfside or Garden City may afford you a more quite vacation time with you and your family.
